5-7 PM: Trick or Treat at the Boone Mall, and Pumpkin Patch by the Boone Service League.6-7:30 PM: ASU is encouraging tailgaters to trick or treat at the Wofford Game. Trunk or Treat will be available in the following ASU tailgating areas: Stadium Lot, Justice Lot, Duncan Lot and the Family Fun Zone behind Duncan Hall. For more information, visit: www.goasu.com
7 PM: Boone United Methodist Church will also be having Trunk-or-Treating. (Thanks Eve)!)
Chick-Fil-A will be having some activities from 6-8:30 PM also. An Ice Cream Sundae Party with free toppings for your ice cream!

Laurel Springs Baptist (Out new 421 in Deep Gap) is having Fall-o-Rama. Fun will begin at 5:00 pm with a Bonfire and Weenie Roast and activities.OCT 31
Rutherwood Baptist (on old 421 in Deep Gap) will have trick or trunk.OCT 31, 5:30-7:30
Deep Gap Fire Dept and Auxiliary is having trunk or treat. The community is invited to come out and hand out candy also. We usually have a great turnout and the kids love seeing the firemen and the fire trucks.

The West Jefferson First Baptist Church will hold its “Trunk or Treat” in the church’s parking lot as they will have a Haunted House, tractor hay rides, and miniature horses.Oct. 31
The Ashe playroom will have their Halloween Party/Trick or Treating at Family Central.OCT 31 5:30-9 PM
West Jefferson Halloween Walk, six different intersections in the neighborhood behind downtown West Jefferson will be blockaded from traffic Halloween night. Local town merchants will start handing out candy as well around 3:30 p.m.

Tumbling for Tots and Yoga for Moms!!

New! Preschool Tumbling–free for the month of November!
This preschool tumbling class taught by Jeff Brock will introduce your child to tumbling in a friendly, 
noncompetitive format. Jeff has 25 years experience teaching gymnastics in childcare and in recreation programs. Class size limited to 6 children; call 828-263-0011 to register. Free in the month of November for members or with paid admission to The Children’s Playhouse. A six week winter session starts December 2nd.
Preschool Tumbling (ages 3-6):
10:30-11:00 Tuesdays, November 4th-25th–free classes
Winter Session Preschool Tumbling:
10:30-11:00 Tuesdays, December 2, 9, 16 and January 6,13, and 20. Fee for four week session is $36 for members, $48 for nonmembers, $9 drop-in.

Mom and Baby Postnatal yoga classes starting in November
Mom and Baby Postnatal yoga classes starting in November at Neighborhood Yoga in Boone. Join us for the 1st Thursday of November and December at 3:30 - 4:30. Classes will run every other Thursday starting in January 2009! Babies from birth to pre-walking welcome. No previous yoga experience necessary. Moms will want to bring blankets and toys for baby as this class encourages improvisation and play. $10/class or class card. Pre-registration preferred but not required.
