There is a hidden gem right over in Ashe County that offers everything from elegant lodging, to gourmet food and wine, to live music and river fishing!  I attended a wedding at the River House Inn a few years ago, and while it was absolutely beautiful, I had no idea the the Inn had so much more to offer locals and tourists alike!

One of the most popular things to do is absolutely nothing! Relax in a rocking chair on the front porch overlooking the river, visit with other guests, and stroll around the property. River House is ideal for a romantic stay. In fact, you can even get married here!

Come to one of many special culinary evenings. Our Sunday afternoon salons, featured on UNC-TV, showcase a wide variety of musicians and other artists from near and far.

The restaurant at the River House Inn is an exquisite dining room with gourmet, chef creations. It’s perfect for a romantic date or elegant ladies’ night. Every parent needs a night out every now and then, right?  The restaurant, with an “a la carte” menu is open Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Reservations are required.  The menu is small and it changes daily, at the direction of the amazing chef!  The have full ABC permits and serve local, as well as international wines.  A dinner here would truly be a treat!
