On Saturday, August 2nd between 11:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m., Watauga County Republican families are gathering at Brookshire Park. Hamburgers, hot dogs, watermelon and drinks will be available (adults $10.00, kids, 6-12 $5.00 pays for food and helps finance the fall campaign). You’ll have an opportunity to meet your fellow Republicans, meet County Party Officials and our NC Republican candidates, buy McCain bumper stickers, find out how you can help with the campaign this fall and buy a cake at our cake auction. There will be activities for children. Bring a lawn chair and enjoy live music. Brookshire Park is located just off Hwy 421 about 1.1 miles beyond New Market on the left just before the intersection with Bamboo Road. Look for the sign and balloons. Hotdog Cookout for Sen. Steve Goss, 5 p.m. at West Jefferson town park. Tickets $10 (children under 12 free), available at the Watauga County Democratic Party HDQs.
