Parkway School Cooks Up Great Recipes and an Eighth Grade Trip
They gathered nearly 600 recipes from Teachers, Parents, Grandparents and retired Staff, to compile a Cookbook! The cookbook, “Cooking with Class” is on sale at Parkway School for $15 each and the proceeds to help with the cost of 8th grade trip to Washington, DC. Many of the students have never been on a trip like this, and it offers a terrific opportunity to learn hands-on lessons about the history and civics of our country!
The recipes in “Cooking with Class” include an entire section dedicated to kid friendly “stuff” like play dough, how to make a gingerbread house with graham crackers, teacher gift ideas and other classroom favorites. They even have a section where the young kids wrote their own “recipes.” My daughters is the “Bagel Pizza”
Ingredients: A bagel, pizza sauce, cheddar cheese
Put the bagel, then the sauce, then the cheddar cheese. Cook it for 40 minutes at 6 degrees. Ten people can eat it and them we’ll have to send it to them
I hate to tell her, but I think it might take a little longer at 6 degrees!
“Cooking with Class” is bound in a sturdy 3-ring binder with dividers, and the design of the cover is super cute! You can drop by the school office or contact alison idol at idolmama@mac.com for more information.
