There are a lot of great activities for families July 4th!

Here are some that I’ve found.


Boone

• July 4 - Parade will begin at 11AM in Downtown Boone
• July 4 - Tweetsie Fireworks
• July 4 - Boone Fireworks near the Armory
• July 4 - Boone Art Crawl, 6PM

Blowing Rock Fourth of July Festival 2008

• July 5- Games, Climbing Tower, Airwalk, Face Painting and more!
• July 5- Fourth of July Parade at 2:00 p.m.
• July 5 - Fireworks - Blowing Rock Country Club, 9:30 p.m.
• July 6 - Music and Park Dance

Beech Mountain

• July 4 - 47th Annual Roasting of the Hog, Serving 6PM, Fireworks at dark. $10 adults, $5 kids
• July 4 - Buckeye Lake Recreation Center celebration. 11AM - 2PM

Ashe County

• July 4 - Todd Liberty Parade and Circus. I couldn’t find any times or info about this, except that it’s in Todd
• July 4 - Ashe Country Festivities and Fireworks at Ashe Park in Jefferson, at dusk.
• July 5 - Christmas in July Festival! Downtown West Jefferson. Awesome music, vendors, food. 9AM - 8PM

Avery County

• July 4 - Independence Day Parade, Banner Elk
• July 4 - The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints across from the airport in Banner Elk has free parking, food, games, cotton candy, and Indoor bathrooms, and a good view of fireworks.
  
• July 4 - Celebration on the Riverwalk, Newland
