Freebie Friday: The Sweetie Pie
High Country natives Daniel and Ashley Eller have created a yummy treat for your palate, and your health! With their company, The Sweetie Pie (TSP- get it?) they prepare signature desserts made from some of the highest quality ingredients available. Ashley and Daniel stock their shelves with organic ingredients and package your desserts in environmentally friendly materials – giving you every excuse you need to indulge as often as you like.

Some ingredients you’ll find in these fine desserts are:
- Organic and hormone free dairy products
- Cage free eggs
- Unbleached Flour
- Unrefined sugar
- Aluminum free baking powder
- High quality chocolates
Also, Ashley is able to make ANY of her desserts dairy free! If you have special dietary concerns, let her know, and she can create a custom product for you! This is awesome for moms whose children sometimes can’t even eat their own birthday cake, because of allergies.

The Sweetie Pie would love to put together Christmas packages for mom/students to give their teachers and they would love to provide Christmas desserts for families up in Boone. We do deliver up there weekly, so it would be convenient to busy moms

I had no idea Ashley was doing this! I used to teach with her at Blowing Rock – she is so sweet & talented! Ok, if I had to choose just one thing for myself, it would be the Pecan Pie Cheesecake. But since my son is gluten free, I would ask her to whip up some type of yummy GF treat!
Thanks!

I WOULD LOVE TO SAMPLE the Chocolate Cake with Peanut Butter Icing! My sister -in-law, Laura, made me a homemade chocolate cake with her homemade peanut butter icing one year for my birthday. I’ll never forget her sweetness and thoughtfulness in making a cake with my 2 favorite foodS! That birthday was really a tough one due to the passing of my son and grandmother, and her reaching out with that cake literally made it all better on that birthday. I don’t think I shared much of that cake, and I remember eating it right off of the cake platter. I didn’t even want to waste time with plates! So, to the creators of the delicious comfort foods at The Sweetie Pie, here’s to you and the Laura’s of the world who make life a little sweeter, and a little easier to swallow!
