Freebie Friday: The List DVD
June 26, 2008
Did you know that we have a movie producer, director, and screenwriter right in our little ol’ town?
Well, Gary Wheeler is a multi-award winning North Carolina filmmaker who has produced a number of motion picture and television productions around the world. He is the founder and President of Level Path Productions and makes his home right here in Boone, North Carolina.
Two of Gary’s recent projects are Final Solution, a critically acclaimed theatrical release shot in South Africa starring Tony Award winner John Kani (The Ghost and the Darkness) and Midnight Clear a Christmas Special starring Stephen Baldwin (The Usual Suspects).
Gary went to ASU at the same time as my husband, is married to Jodie, and is a High Country Dad, as well!
Gary teamed up with Robert Whitlow, one of my favorite authors to write, produce, and direct The List. I must say it was refreshing to watch this drama, complete with suspense, intrigue, romance, and the struggle between good and evil. “Refreshing?” you ask. This movie accomplishes all these aspects, while being wholesome and triumphant over the darkness. It’s not one of those thrillers where you come away with a disturbing feeling. Instead, you experience the twists and turns of the exciting plot, and come away knowing the power of good. The List presents a Christian world view, without being preachy, or (dare I say it?)… cheesy! The acting and production quality is top-notch, and we really enjoyed Malcom McDowell as the lead antagonist role.
When Judd and I read The List a while ago, we said it would make a great movie, and Gary lived up to our expectations.
Gary has graciously offered a copy of the DVD for a giveaway at The Mom Squad! Simply watch the trailer below, and leave a comment saying you’d like to enter. The contest will be open through Sunday Night, and the winner announced Monday morning. You get an extra entry if you:

You mean there are Christian movies that are cheesy? But enough about “Facing the Giants” . . .
Just put The List on my Netflix so let another win.
