Paint Your Wings is a “paint your own” pottery studio located at New Market Center in Boone, right on Highway 421. As you walk in the store, you will be greeted by the bubbly owner Heather, or another member of the staff, as well as feline sisters Pumpkin and Magic. The studio has a playful and whimsical feel that will inspire your creativity, and the staff will be there to guide you through your entire journey toward original artwork. When you start the process, you will choose a piece of unfinished pottery ranging from $6.00 to $63.00. Creating your piece is made easy by the materials available at the studio, including brushes, stencils, stamps, and stickers. There is something for children and adults of all ages at Paint Your Wings, from small tiles to plates to teapots. You may want to commemorate your time in the mountains with the family’s handprints on a platter, creating a keepsake for grandparents or a decorative plate for your home. After your masterpiece is finished, simply leave it at the studio, where they will glaze and fire it for you.
