We always go to my grandmothers for Christmas Eve and then we have a Christmas Eve dinner and then we exchange gifts with them. Then we spend Christmas as a family together on Christmas Day.

We always spend Christmas day together and usually in our pjs for most of the day! We take that one day to enjoy the day together, watch the kids tear into presents, drinking hot chocolate, and eating sausage balls.

We go to Christmas Eve candlelight service, then change into our pajamas and look for Christmas lights on the way home. We pack eggnog and cups with lids for the ride. Since I’ve started my own family, my Mom and sister now spend the night on Christmas Eve, so we still get to all wake up and have Christmas together without traveling.

We spend Christmas day with my family, as many people as we can get together. We open stockings in the morning, eat breakfast, open gifts, and then have a big lunch. I’m excited about Christmas this year as it will be the first Christmas that Liliana will really be into it all!

We always give new pjs and Christmas books as a gift on Christmas Eve so the kids have something to open and enjoy the night before Christmas. They put on their new pjs and settle down with us reading Christmas stories to them.

The pajama fairy leaves new pajamas for our girls while we are at church on Christmas eve.

First thing we do is go to church for a Christmas Eve service. Then we have the same tradition as Dell does! We give our girls new PJ’s and a new book and we have family time. Reading the book and having snacks are a great way to snuggle up for the night!

Wow! Who knew that pj’s were such a common tradition. My dad always gave us new pj’s for christmas, and the tradition has been passed on to the next generation. As the others have said, we let our girls open them on Christmas Eve.

We always read the Nativity Story from the Bible, then open some gifts on Christmas Eve and some on Christmas morning, just to enjoy Christmas as long as possible! Then we go to a cousin’s house to spend Christmas evening with extended family.

It sounds like we’re pretty lazy, but I promise we’re not…we always get a new pair of PJs from my dad on Christmas Eve & we wear them at my grandmother’s house on Christmas Eve. Then we go home & on Christmas morning we wear our PJs at my mom’s house & then we keep wearing them to my husband’s parents’ house. It’s pretty fun & we don’t have to worry about what we’re going to wear!

Before I was married, my family would always spend Christmas Eve with My mom’s side of the family, opening presents and eating goodies, now, we try to spend Christmas Eve morning with my family, Christmas Eve night with my husband’s family and Christmas Day together at our own home!

Santa always left our toys in the living room, and it was the only day of the year the door to that room was closed. Just seeing the door pulled to was so exciting! We could have just opened it, but we would always open it just a crack and peek through to see what was there.

My family has always had the tradtion of opening 1 gift on Christmas Eve. This was my dad’s birthday, so mama always let us open a “fun” gift to get is through the day!
